about
Here it is, our SHALLA Magazine: Blank Canvas Issue. Hard to imagine why the world would need another literary magazine--unless of course it's got a new spin.
Do you believe in magic? I was wondering, a few months ago, as I read the latest O Henry Prize Stories, marvelling at the authors and their display of wordsmithing, the skillful ways they use literary effects like flashbacks and foreshadowing, what talented authors do with their published work after they already have been published and what a shame it was if they were never seen again or heard of again. Yes, I realize if a story gets published in O Henry or the Pushcart or Best American then the author will probably continue on to publishing short story collections if they haven't already, but they don't all do, do they? So, to make a long story short, I am pleased to introduce SHALLA Magazine where we mainly publish reprints! Online too so it can be read by more people all over the world--anyone with a computer can access it. Plus, submissions, they're free. No stamps necessary (save the trees!) and it's on real time: updated with a click of a button. The biggest thing I love about SHALLA Magazine though, besides that it's accessible to many, no stamps necessary (save the trees!), no waiting for a copy--and did I tell you about the amazing array of literary agents, editors, publishers, writers, artists interviews in it--etc etc, is that it's, are you ready for it, here it comes, SHALLA Magazine is freeeeeee. Now, that's magic!

p.s. Oh
yeah, what makes us a wee bit different from other literary magazines--besides
the fact that we accept genre (if it's
excellent, we will publish it)--is that we honor other literary magazines.
We feature other magazines, other editors, other publishers and help
them shine!
