IN THE EYE OF THE BEHOLDER
by Sandy Green
Dr. Baxter says my eye surgery was a complete success, and the hole in my iris should heal in a few weeks.
But it hasn’t. My friends in middle school think it’s so fun that I can see a colored glow around people when they talk to each other. Red for romance, green for jealousy, yellow for fear.
But the coolest thing was when that cute Ryan showed up at my house selling candy for a baseball fundraiser. As I answered the door and smiled, he almost fell off the step.
And his glow? Rainbow-colored. I guess he’s kind of confused.
